ALL SHALL PERISH: Russia/Siberia Tour Video Posted Online
September 26, 2008Oakland metallers ALL SHALL PERISH recently embarked on an unprecedented 10-day tour of the greater Russia area, which included four shows in Siberia. The band made history by becoming the very first all-American metal act to ever play shows in Siberia (Irkutsch, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, and Omsk). The only other metal groups to ever travel to this part of the world have been SOULFLY (Brazil/USA) and SOILWORK (Sweden).
ALL SHALL PERISH, who played two extremely successful shows in St. Petersburg and Moscow in October of 2007, has been touring extensively in Eastern Europe and recently played one of the biggest shows of their career headlining the Metal Music Mission fest in Simervopol, Ukraine.
Drummer Matt Kuykendall stated: "Eastern Europe, Russia and Siberia have shown us love that is unrivaled almost anywhere in the world. It is insane to go to places like Siberia and the Ukraine and hear people chanting your name so passionately and seeing every person in the crowd as hungry for a metal live show as I was at 18 years old."

"Awaken The Dreamers", the third full-length album from ALL SHALL PERISH, sold just under 5,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to enter The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 126. The follow-up to "The Price of Existence" was recorded once again at Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland with producer Zack Ohren.
Drummer Matt Kuykendall previously stated about the new album: "We have never been a band to write the same record twice and we have never enjoyed records that are one single and 11 worse versions of the same song. This record is the most diverse thing we have done to date. Every song is different and brings something new to the overall experience of the CD. When you look back to all the classic records of our time, they are full of all kinds of different songs. 'Vulgar Display of Power' just wouldn't be the same without 'This Love' and 'Hollow'. Our record is a breath of fresh air in a scene that is turning stale."
